Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 3 August 2026
This page explains what data Onchatup collects when you connect a Meta channel (WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram) through Facebook Login for Business / Embedded Signup, and how to have that data deleted. It supplements, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.
1. What we collect via Facebook Login
When you connect a Meta channel to Onchatup, we receive and store the following on your behalf:
- WhatsApp— your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID, phone number ID, the connected number's Meta access token, and a webhook verify token.
- Messenger— your connected Facebook Page's ID and Page access token.
- Instagram — your connected Instagram Business account ID and its access token.
- Conversation data — the name, profile picture, and messages of anyone who contacts your connected channel, stored so you can see conversation history in your inbox.
Access tokens are encrypted at rest and are never shown back to you in plain text after the initial connection.
2. Self-service deletion (recommended, immediate)
You can remove a connected channel's credentials yourself, at any time, without contacting us:
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Open the channel you want to disconnect (WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram) and choose Reset (WhatsApp) or Disconnect (Messenger, Instagram).
For WhatsApp, this permanently deletes your stored access token, WABA ID, phone number ID, and verify token. For Messenger and Instagram, this permanently clears your stored Page/account access token. In every case the credentials that let Onchatup act on your behalf are gone immediately — this is a real deletion, not a status flag.
Disconnecting a channel does not delete your existing contacts, conversations, or message history in Onchatup — those remain part of your account's CRM data unless you request full account deletion below.
3. Request full account deletion
If you want your entire Onchatup account deleted — including contacts, conversation history, and any other data associated with your account, not just a single channel's credentials — email onchatup@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and request account deletion. We will confirm your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with law.
4. Deleting your data on Facebook/Instagram
Removing Onchatup's access from the Facebook or Instagram side (Facebook Settings → Business Integrations → Onchatup → Remove) revokes the access token Meta issued to us, but does not by itself trigger deletion inside Onchatup — use the self-service disconnect above, or the full-account request above, to remove data stored on our side.
5. Contact us
Questions about this page or a deletion request can be sent to onchatup@gmail.com.
